SCARY RELIEF!!!

First off, let me backtrack..

on sunday we went on our first fully loaded ride up to my aunts.. we ended up riding 65ish miles round trip. had some bike troubles on the way but got them fixed up at REI reading. the rain held off most of the time but it rained steadily on the way home. good ride, bikes def. weigh a lot more than i had expected but was not as bad. chad was hungover like it was his bachelor party. ended up booting 10 miles in but finished strong. did i mention chad broke his toe saturday night? it's going to be a great first week for him.

yesterday we rode around boston and rode the boston marathon course from finish to start and then back, all in all 75ish miles. we picked up our pace by 3mph or so, we didn't ride the ride loaded, just trying to put more miles into the legs. weather held up again, had a great time. had lunch at marathon deli, they make some bomb wraps.. chad reported that he hasn't pooped in 2-3 days, which we found to be pretty hilarious, more hilarious was that he followed it up with a story of how he almost crapped himself in college.

good news though: chad just pooped about an hour ago, so we're safe.

more good news: i passed my board exams. PROOF HERE: http://license.reg.state.ma.us/public/pubLicRange.asp?profession=Allied_Health_Professions&licenseNo=18692&querytype=license&color=red

THANK YOU JULIE BYRNE for checking for my name and then pretty much forcing me to check.. i kept telling her i failed and i didn't want to now until i was in INDIANA..

today it's some last minute packing and what not.. which i have to get back to

So we're thinking about getting rid of the niagra falls stop... apparently i'm the only one that wants to go there.. we did find a very nice route through penn that'll lead us straight to notre dame (south bend).. it's getting serious consideration.. especially if nick will house us in fairfield. if that were to be the case we'll probably delay leaving until thursday, so we can spend friday night in fairfield and hopefully have some friends drive down and visit.. maybe a day off saturday will be in store.. i'm sure we'll love the day off after back to back 100 mile rides. hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can play some bocce and hit up the beach a bit..

update: sounds like nick and nat are planning to be in boston for the 4th.... here's hoping alden has room for us.. who knows.. maybe we'll push the start date back until after the 4th.. but honestly, i'm not liking that idea.. the sooner we leave the better imo..

i'm really just posting because i'm too tired to study and i'm too lazy to shower.. which, on that note, i will go ahead and do.

2 days until cole arrives, 4 days until chad arrives... can't believe we are actually doing this... excited and nervous at the same time..

Chad's twitter

for those who know chad or wants to follow us via twitter, he'll be representing all 3 of us when he posts.. unless he posts anything stupid, in which case he'll only be representing his dumb self.. that is all.

Day -10

So I leave for my cross country trip in 10 days.. pretty excited, but all I have on my mind right now is studying and passing my board exams this thursday. I'm pretty nervous, i'm slightly unprepared in my honest opinion, but there is not much else I can do right now. Go in with positive thoughts and do my best.

This will be where i'll update the trip.. i'll do the best i can to give everyone updates with photos etc.. chad will be updating everyone on our progress through his twitter account that i'll post up when i get the chance.

bests,

john
